A note to Mom and Dad: does this sound like you?
Don't worry. You’re not alone. We've heard these messages before. No matter how old your child is it can be hard to stand by and watch as they flounder with job and career decisions. The work world that your child faces today is competitive, confusing, and comes with no guarantees of employment stability or a glorious retirement. Young people are inundated with information every second of the day. They need their own time to sort the important stuff out. WorkFlo can provide that objective "outsider's" voice, which can sometimes be easier for a young person to listen to than their parents. WorkFlo can be there to encourage your child’s progress, to provide them with the quick service they want, from an experienced career counsellor that you can trust. Not sure about online coaching? Remember that if your child is currently in school (high school or post secondary), they most likely have in-person support available through their school’s counselling office. You can encourage them to use that resource if you think your child would further benefit from meeting with a counsellor face to face. Finally, if your child is under 19 years of age, you must give them permission to use WorkFlo's services. Read through the Terms and Conditions page first; then complete the entire Register as a Client form, including the parental consent. And now, if you're ready, take a breath, let go.
